United Biscuits marketing chief promoted to top table
by Russell Parsons - 06/07/2011
"United Biscuits (UB) - owner of the McVitie’s, Penguin, Jacob’s and Hula Hoops brands - has promoted snacks marketing chief Helen Warren-Piper to a new senior executive role with a direct report to the CEO."
A spokeswoman for UB declined to provide details about Warren-Piper’s new responsibilities as “business transformation director”. The title, however, suggests her brief could cover areas such as innovation, product development and marketing across all the company’s brands.
Warren-Piper, who has been marketing director for bagged snacks since 2006, will be replaced by savoury biscuits brand manager George Johnston.
Prior to UB, she worked at P&G for 14 years on laundry brands, Pampers and pet food.
