Students get the chance to help market Purley food company

by Croydon Advertiser - 22/09/2011

Students get the chance to help market Purley food company

"BUSINESS students are being given the chance to come up with fresh marketing ideas for a Purley company specialising in Indian foods."

Pinky Lilani, who runs Spice Magic from her home in Furze Lane, Purley has teamed up with online student website, MyKindaCrowd for the comptition.

The website is a new resource which invites companies to set a challenge for students which they can complete on their own or with a classroom setting.

Those taking on Spice Magic's challenge are being asked to come up with a strategy to promote the company's range of services, including the sale of spices and cooker books and organising private parties with Indian food as their speciality.

The best idea will win a ticket to the Woman of the Future awards and an opportunity to meet some of the UK's leading businesswomen.

Mrs Lilani said: "MyKindaCrowd is a great way to find fresh young minds to contribute to the businesses activity."

The challenge, she said, was a great opportunity for the students to put their skills to the test.

She added: "Then winning marketing strategy needs to be creative and reasoned, drawing on new and existing marketing tools, combined with exciting ideas."

The challenge is open to all students and recent graduates and more details can be found by visiting www.mykindacrowd.com

Entries have to be by September 22 and winners will be announced on September 29.
