R&R Ice Cream appoints corporate development director

"Ice cream giant R&R has appointed its first director of corporate development to explore further acquisition opportunities in mainland Europe."

Bib Bigley will work alongside chief finance officer Andy Finneran on R&R’s acquisition programme across the Continent, chief executive James Lambert told FoodManufacture.co.uk.

The firm, which recently acquired French ice cream maker Rolland, is looking to play a central role in the consolidation of the European ice cream market over the next decade, said Lambert.

“Bob has financial and corporate development expertise gained at the highest level and I am delighted he is joining the team."

Bigley has held senior accountancy, banking, corporate finance and investment roles at firms including Kleinwort Benson, Hambros Bank, KPMG and Leeds-based Town Centre Securities.
