Murray takes new retail job at Spar

"Spar UK has announced that Stores Development Controller John Murray has been appointed into a new retail job."

Mr Murray has taken on the role of Sales Development Controller and will continue to report to Spar UK Retail Director Richard Bennett at central office.

The Retail Director said he has “every confidence” that the new appointment will be able to take Spar’s sales performance “to a new level”.

“John's experience in the sector has shown that he is ideally placed to take on the range of challenges the role will bring,” Mr Bennett explained.

One of Mr Murray’s most important jobs in his new job will be to increase the distribution of Spar brand products into shops across the UK, which will involve measuring their performance and sharing methods of best practice with the wider Spar membership.

It was also announced today that Jon Bleeze will fill the Store Development Controller gap left at Spar UK. He joins the company from organic food and delivery firm Abel & Cole, where he held the position of Head of Sales.
