McDonald’s to create 100 new jobs in Wales

"FAST-FOOD chain McDonald’s is creating over 100 new jobs in Wales as part of a £5.1m investment."
The American giant is redesigning 12 of its restaurants this year.
It builds on the £10m that has been invested into McDonald’s Welsh restaurants over the last few years.
Aberystwyth was the first restaurant to benefit from a contemporary £300,000 makeover last month.
In addition, a 3,200sq ft drive-thru will open in Cardiff this summer and McDonald’s in Merthyr Tydfil will relocate from its current High Street location to the new Rhydycar leisure complex in the autumn.
The significant investment will also create more than 100 jobs across Wales, as part of a UK-wide plan to employ 5,000 new people this year.
New and existing McDonald’s employees will benefit from a new “crew room” in each restaurant with comfortable seating, a television and a computer.
Richard Forte, chief operations officer at McDonald’s said: “We’re delighted to continue our extensive programme in Wales and bring an extra boost to the local economy.”
