Marminte Introduces Cereal Bar
by fdin.org.uk - 12/11/2009
"‘Lovers’ and ‘Haters’ to be thrown in to turmoil over the introduction of the Marmite cereal bar – the world’s first savoury cereal bar"
A truly heavenly creation or total madness? The makers of Marmite have embarked on another polarizing yeast infused venture with the creation of the Marmite cereal bar – the world’s first savoury cereal bar, hitting the shelves of Morrisons on 2 November.
It is reported that packed full of chewy oats, wheat & rice with a distinctive punch of Marmite, the new invention is set to spur on the divided nation’s love/hate debate. Could it prove a step too far for some loyal ‘lovers’ or an appealing invite for the ‘haters’, who may finally give in to the yeasty temptation of the nation’s most loved and hated spread? Feedback revealed some unlikely surprises, so there’s uncertainty filling the air as to how both camps will react to the wacky new combo.
Rich in B-vitamins, high in fibre & only 93 calories per bar, it’s perfect for any snacking moment whether you’ve rolled out of bed and need a quick breakfast fix, fancy a mid morning snack with your cup of char or want an afternoon tummy rumbling filler. Marmite’s latest offering will test the palettes and rival those sugar fuelled cereal bars, offering a savoury twist and an utterly unique snacking experience that you will genuinely love or hate.
So, we are told, whether you’re bursting with excitement, plagued with animosity or intrigued to know how it could possibly work, make sure you grab a bite, so you can cast your vote in the nationwide debate. Join the Marmite Facebook page www.facebook.com\marmite and share your verdict with over 237,000 crazy fans.
The new bar has already wowed Marmite’s number one fan MsMarmitelover (http://marmitelover.blogspot.com/) who comments: “I was skeptical at first to how this would ever work, but now I’ve had a few bars, I’m there and loving the new creation of Marmitey oats rice & wheat. Breakfast will never be the same with this around”.
Marmite cereal bars are available in packs of 6 priced £1.99 exclusively in Morrisons from 2 November, and will roll out to stores nationwide in the New Year. A bonkers idea or an ideal mishmash of loveliness? Pick up a packet and join in the debate today.
