Foodservice operators looking to bring a touch of sparkle to their dessert menus are in for a real treat thanks to Country Range’s newest additions to its frozen food range.
Summer is here, so it’s a great time to revamp those menus and make life in the kitchen even easier. This June sees the launch of a fantastic selection of frozen Hand Made Cakes from Country Range, which will provide caterers with that extra impetus to drive sales. The tasty cakes follow hot on-the-heels of frozen sliced white and wholemeal bread launched in April.
Whether operators are looking for an addition to the snack menu to accompany a hot drink, or as an after dinner option, Country Range’s five newest sweet treats will unquestionably get tastebuds tingling. They provide a quick-and-easy solution for all catering needs, and because they’re frozen it means time and energy is taken away from preparing desserts.
The superb quality Hand Made Cakes will be served in 14 x pre-portioned slices and are available in the following varieties:
Carrot Cake – filled and topped with sweet frosting and decorated with walnut pieces
Coffee & Walnut Cake – sponge cake filled and topped with layers of coffee butter icing and decorated with walnut pieces
Victoria Sandwich – moist sponge filled with layers of raspberry jam and butter icing finished with a sprinkling of sweet dusting
Chocolate Cake – chocolate sponge filled and topped with layers of chocolate fudge butter icing and a scattering of chocolate pieces
Lemon Drizzle Cake – tangy lemon cake with lemon zest pieces, drizzled with lemon juice and finished with crystallised sugar pieces
Country Range’s first-ever Frozen Food event at The Nottingham Belfry, held in March, has focused specifically on developing frozen as a category within the membership.
Martin Ward, Country Range brand manager, said: “Market research shows that caterers are more likely to buy own-brand within the frozen category, so we wanted and needed to expand in line with caterers needs.”
The Future
