National Vegetarian Week (NVW) is running now until Sunday (May 30th), during which time everyone is invited to ‘go green’ and experiment with a meat-free diet.
While meat consumption is rising significantly in the west, the UK has many food manufacturers who are committed to providing products to the veggie consumer.
With events and promotions taking place across the country, NVW could provide some welcome business to this area of the food industry as people sample their products for the first time.

Britain’s food market has shown stability throughout the recession and one of the reasons for this is its ability to cater to different markets and customer groups.
Meanwhile, despite a ride in vegetarian cuisine, those in the animal feed industry are benefiting from a global demand for meat products.
Typical Guttridge equipment used in the food processing and manufacturing includes; Feeders – metering screw feeders – weighing systems
