Amanda Holden fronts Kenco packaging campaign
by Jill Park, packagingnews.co.uk - 18/09/2009
"Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden is to encourage the British public to go on a "packaging diet" in a new role as the face of a new Kenco green packaging drive."
Kenco has launched the project to coincide with the roll-out of its new Kenco Eco Refill 150g resealable packs, an alternative to its glass jars.
The Eco Refill Packs use 81% less energy in their manufacture than equivalent glass jars that are currently on the market.
London-based design agency Bulletproof created the graphics for the new packs.
Holden will lead the campaign to get the public to help divert 26,000 tonnes of packaging waste from landfill.
She and fellow TV presenter and eco-design expert Oliver Heath, will travel across the country to encourage people to explore a greener lifestyle.
Kenco marketing director Peter Seymour said: "By simply refilling and reusing coffee jars and making small changes to every day habits, households around the country can really make a difference."
