50 jobs created as Marks & Spencer Simply Food arrives in East Kilbride

"MARKS & Spencer is opening a brand-new Simply Food store in East Kilbride next week bringing an additional 50 jobs to the town."
The new 14,000 square foot M&S Simply Food store will open at 10am on Thursday, November 19, at the Kingsgate Retail Centre, with a special ribbon cutting ceremony.
After the official opening customers can look forward to enjoying a celebratory entertainment programme throughout the day including an in-store DJ and a complimentary glass of champagne - plus the opportunity to win a share of £1000 worth of M&S Gift Cards.
A large variety of food and drink products will be available at the new store including organic and Fairtrade options, convenient ready meals as well as a choice of fine wines.
The in-store bakery will also provide an array of breads, cakes and pastries.
Customers can relax in the store’s 54-seat café. In addition, the East Kilbride Simply Food store will offer clothing essentials for men and women, as well as homeware, stationery and gifts.
Store manager Jennifer Moore said: “We’re delighted to be opening a new Simply Food store in East Kilbride, providing our customers with the very best of M&S food and drink.
“The store will bring a fresh, shopping environment to the town and we're looking forward to welcoming local shoppers through the doors on November 19."
